Jonathan Baldwin's Brilliance Denied, but the Chiefs WR's Catch Was a Beauty
Call this one the catch that never was.
Jonathan Baldwin of the Chiefs somehow was able to use Denver defensive back Brian Dawkins as a prop to catch this pass from quarterback Matt Cassel in the first half of Sunday's 17-10 Broncos win, wrapping his hands around Dawkins and using Dawkins' back to pin the ball until the two hit the ground and Baldwin was able to pull the ball in to him.
The play was nullified because of offsetting penalties, and that's a shame, because this one would be right up there with the plays of the year (or any year).
In a way, this one spelled out the way the game would go for the Chiefs, because they lost to the Broncos despite Denver getting just two pass completions for the day.
