There aren’t many weeks in the NFL when multiple division leaders will fall on the same day. This week will see not one, not two, but three division leaders lose. It’s going to be another unforgettable week in the NFL.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints’ three losses have come on the road this season including an embarrassing defeat to the St. Louis Rams. Atlanta is 22-5 at home since 2008.

Advantage Falcons.

Julio Jones caught three balls for over 130 yards and two touchdowns last week against the Indianapolis Colts in a breakout performance. If that performance did anything, it opened the field for his fellow comrades to receive balls from Matt Ryan in future games. Roddy White will get on track and Tony Gonzalez will continue to be the best tight end to ever play the game because of Jones and his deep-threat capabilities.

New Orleans has allowed 26 or more points in five of their nine games including three games of 30 or more points.

Advantage Falcons.

Atlanta has quietly won three straight games in 2011. The Falcons are hitting their stride at the right moment and their streak will continue against the division-leading Saints. Falcons win 31-28.

San Francisco 49ers

How do you beat the San Francisco 49ers? It’s simple: Stop Frank Gore. In their only loss of the season, Dallas held Gore to 47 yards on 2.4 yards per carry. Cincinnati also shut him down, and they almost pulled off the victory losing 13-8.

New York will limit Gore offensively which will force Alex Smith to be the quarterback that he is not—capable of making winnable plays. Smith has been solid at not turning the ball over—10 touchdowns to two interceptions, but he isn’t the right fit for a team that needs a quarterback to take over the game.

He will be the No. 1 reason why San Francisco bows out in the postseason.

Eli Manning is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the NFL. He’s confident, has the experience and is a Super Bowl MVP—he’s legit. He plays in onthe most criticized cities in the world yet he is playing at a high level. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

I’ll take Manning over every quarterback but Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees. If this game comes down to quarterback play, Eli will lead his team to its fourth-straight victory. Manning is 32-17 (including postseason) on the road in the past 49 games. He wins on the road once again in a 24-21 victory.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati is a fraud. Pittsburgh will expose the Bengals' weaknesses and youth on Sunday, sending them to a rough second half of the season.

Jacksonville, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Seattle have been the victories for the Bengals this season. These four victories are unimpressive at best. Their lone “quality” victory came against the Buffalo Bills at home but that isn’t saying much. Two of the three losses for the overrated Bills have come on the road.

The Bengals are an improved football team in 2011 but they aren’t 6-2 good. It’s been their schedule that has given them their quality record.

Pittsburgh will not lose back-to-back games. They haven’t lost back-to-back games since 2009. The Steelers are upset about allowing the Baltimore Ravens to drive 92 yards for the game-winning touchdown, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

It doesn’t bode well for rookie quarterback Andy Dalton. Despite the rookie’s success, the only time he faced a top-15 defensive team (San Francisco) he lost.

Pittsburgh will bring their top-five defense (3rd against pass, 6th against rush) to the table on Sunday. If they can get pressure on Dalton, Cincinnati will come back to reality. Pittsburgh gets to Dalton, forcing multiple turnovers. Steelers win 24-13.
