About five hours ago former World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho, made a rather abrupt post on Twitter. The former Y2J said:
This has evoked a rather mixed response from his followers. Some are fully supportive of his future non-wrestling plans. Others have expressed disappointment that after all the hype (admittedly only built up by the fans themselves) over a return, it will not come to fruition. Then there is also a group that has taken to swearing and name calling.
At the age of 41, Jericho can retire with what few guys in the business take with them: a healthy body.
Let's face facts, we all bemoan the likes of Ric Flair and Hogan for going on too long, but when a guy like Jericho says he's done with the business and has the ability to leave before age takes its toll, we always seem to pressure them into comebacks.
However, I do not believe that he will never wrestle for WWE again. Jericho is probably sick and tired of people asking if he will make his return at the next major PPV. No doubt he gets asked the same question over 10 times a day.
Once again, all we should do is wait for what his upcoming plans are and see (and possibly curse his involvement in that blasted dancing show) what happens.
