Arizona Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Live Score, Video and Analysis
The headline story of today’s game should have been the return of Kevin Kolb to Lincoln Field, which he once called home. Unfortunately, due to a turf toe injury, it is questionable whether Kolb or backup quarterback John Skelton will start.
The Cardinals are hoping to ride the momentum of their first win since Week 1. The 99-yard punt return for an overtime touchdown was one of the few bright points in a season that has thus far been a giant disappointment for the Cardinals.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles have faced struggles of their own this season. Despite the star-studded roster, the Eagles have lacked consistency on both sides of the ball and have failed to really find their stride in the first half of the season. To keep their diminishing playoff hopes alive, the Eagles must win today.
Stay tuned as I live blog thoughts, highlights, scores, and analysis from today’s game.
FINAL score: Cardinals 21 and Eagles 17.

For the second week in a row, John Skelton lead a fourth quarter drive to help seal a win for the underdog Cardinals.
With the loss, the Eagles drop to just 3-6 for the year, the same record as the Arizona Cardinals.
The game became surprisingly exciting in the second half thanks to turnovers and sustained drives by both teams. In the end, though, Michael Vick couldn't seem to overcome the loss of his two top receivers which allowed Arizona to squeak through..
Michael Vick was just intercepted by A.J. Jefferson, sealing the game as a loss for the Eagles.
The Eagles just negated an 11-yard gain with a holding penalty by LeSean McCoy. There are just 41 seconds left on the clock, and the Eagles are in a third and 20 situation.
The Eagles need to play with a much greater sense of urgency. They are moving incredibly slowly for a team with less than a minute to go and only one timeout on their side.
As we prepare for the Cardinals' kick off, I have to wonder whether Andy Reid is regretting his decision to bench DeSean Jackson today. He can be such a difference-maker on this team that his absence may make a huge difference to the Eagles.
The Cardinals face a crucial third down and goal play, and make it to the end zone with a touchdown to Early Doucet.
The Cardinals have just taken their first lead of the game, and will give the ball back to the Eagles with just under two minutes left on the clock.
In another stunning show of athleticism, Larry Fitzgerald and John Skelton hook up for a 37-yard catch to bring the Cardinals to the one-yard line.
Fourth and two: The Cardinals go for it on fourth down and make a 31 yard reception with LaRod Stephens-Howling.
The call was questionable given that the Cards were still on their own side of the field, but it worked out amazingly well.
Injury update: Michael Vick will take the field again on the Eagles' next offensive drive. He had the wind knocked out of him.
Jeremy Maclin is in the locker room with a hamstring injury. It is questionable whether he will return again today.
Here we go with the Cardinals as they try to put together a drive to find the end zone. The Eagles defense must really step up here.
The difference in this game might be the Eagles' ability to make a field goal, while the Cardinals cannot seem to get the ball between the uprights.
The Eagles have taken the lead, 17-14.
On a second-down play, Michael Vick runs the ball down the middle and is hit in the hip by a Cardinals defender. Vince Young has taken Vick's place for the third down.
John Skelton's third-down pass is intercepted by Nnamdi Asomugha to give the Eagles the ball in Cardinals territory with just under seven minutes left in a tied game.
Two plays later, the Arizona Cardinals wiped out a 41-yard Patrick Peterson punt return with an unnecessary roughness penalty.
The Eagles continue to give the Cardinals opportunities that the Cards cannot seem to capitalize on.
The Arizona interception was overturned after a challenge by Andy Reid. Marshall did not have complete control of the ball throughout the entire process of the catch.
Michael Vick's pass is intercepted by Richard Marshall, giving the Cardinals the ball on the Eagles' side of the field. Could this be one of the deciding plays of the game?
Michael Vick and the Philadelphia offense have a hugely important offensive drive ahead of them. The last time the Cardinals scored an offensive touchdown in the second quarter, the Eagles drove right back to stay in the lead.
Giving the ball back to the Cardinals without scoring any points here might be a nail in the coffin for an Eagles team that has struggled in the fourth quarter.
Larry Fitzgerald brings in a second deflected pass, this time for a Cardinals touchdown!
How on EARTH did Larry Fitzgerald reel that catch in?
With the start of the fourth quarter, it becomes do or die time for the Philadelphia Eagles. They've lost five games this year, and in four of them they were in the lead at the start of the fourth quarter.
Can they finish this game against the struggling Arizona Cardinals, or will John Skelton lead his team to a second exciting last second victory?
The Eagles defense really stepped up on the drive following the turnover, making sure the Cardinals couldn't capitalize off of the change of possession. They'll get the ball back to start the fourth quarter, although their field position won't be as good as it was to start their previous drive.
In a situation that moments ago looked as though the Cardinals would be down by two scores, the Cardinals are starting to show signs of life again on this drive.
Meanwhile, Eagles are falling injured all over the field. The most recent victim is Antoine Roll, who remains on the field with an unknown injury.
