The main event of UFC on Fox 1 may be the fight everyone is paying attention to, but the fight between Ben Henderson vs. Clay Guida was the most exciting preliminary fight on the card.
Clay Guida is one of the most exciting fighters in the lightweight division. His unorthodox style makes him a difficult opponent to prepare for but also a crowd favorite.
Despite the majority of cheers coming for Guida, Henderson played his style. He was cool, calm and collected for the entire three rounds of the fight.
That was his main key to victory. Guida connected with some huge shots and sent fans into a craze multiple times with his wild style.
It was that same wild style that Henderson was able to key in on and capitalize on. He countered multiple big moves every round, giving him the clear advantage.
His win was a unanimous decision.
Henderson, now 15-2, had some words for champion Frankie Edgar after the fight.
He let him know that he was ready, and that he was coming for the Lightweight championship.
Edgar defeated Gray Maynard just a month ago on UFC 136 to defend his championship belt.
Now a date will be set for him to defend it again. This time that defense will come against Ben Henderson.
