All eyes will be focused on Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez's third career bout tonight but the undercard battle between Mike Alvarado and Breidis Prescott in a match Alvarado can make a big statement.

The Colorado born Junior Welterweight will look to keep his career undefeated streak going strong when he takes on Breidis Prescott in just his opponent's 10th fight since coming to the United States from Columbia.

Prescott is coming off a loss to Paul McCloskey this past September, continuing his struggles since his shocking first round knockout of Amir Khan back in 2008. Alvarado is coming off his battle with Gabriel Martinez in which he won the IBF Latino Welterweight title in the his hometown of Denver, Colorado.

The new titleholder should be able to go to 32-0 tonight against an opponent that has done little to stay relevant in the past three years in his career. It would be another great win under the best for Alvarado as he would be coming off winning two different titles as well as defeating Prescott in what should be one of the most high profile games in boxing this year.

The lights will be shining bright in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas tonight and it would be the perfect venue for the up and coming Welterweight to showcase his talents and perhaps even knockout his opponent before the big fight takes place later on.

If Alvarado can pull off the victory, he'll have had three of the most important victories in his career come all in a row.
