Auburn didn't need a bunch of linebackers this year, just a few impact guys. They missed out on some top targets and will really need a solid LB class next year.

Barnes, from Tallahassee, actually played safety in high school. He is very athletic and hits hard.

Pybus got a late offer because of the Tigers missing out on some other guys. He wasn't highly recruited, but his numbers are extremely impressive. He had 270 tackles his last two years in high school and, at a recent combine, he ran a 4.5, had a vertical jump of 40 inches, and had 39 reps on the bench press. He actually recorded the highest SPARQ/combine rating in it's history.

Defensive Back

Neiko Lipscomb 6-2, 185 (CB/S)

T'Sharvan Bell 6-1, 190 (CB)

Drew Cole 6-0, 180 (CB)

D'Antonie Hood 5-10, 185 (CB)

Marcus Jemison 6-2, 190 (S)

Christian Thompson 6-1, 200 (S)

Grade B

Analysis

Defensive backs were a big need for Auburn this year since they are losing three corners and a safety. Lipscomb was selected to the Under Armour All-American game.. He is a big player who could play corner or safety. He chose Auburn over Georgia and Alabama.

Bell was high on Auburn's board and is a really athletic player who played quarterback on his high school team, as well as corner. He had eight interceptions as a senior. Bell chose Auburn over Clemson and Georgia Tech.

Cole was one of Auburn's earliest commits.. He runs a 4.4 and had 170 tackles and seven interceptions his last two seasons. He also played running back for his team and rushed for 1,500 yards and 22 touchdowns the last two season.

Hood was selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and more than held his own against the top receiver in the nation, Julio Jones. He is the cousin of former Auburn cornerback and current Arizona Cardinal, Roderick Hood.

Jemison is one of the better all-around athletes in this class. He played quarterback and safety in high school and had six interceptions as a junior. He chose Auburn over Clemson and Arkansas.

Thompson could play safety or outside linebacker. He has ideal size and great speed.. He had 76 tackles and 14 tackles for loss his senior season. Thompson chose Auburn over Miami and LSU.
