Notre Dame Uniforms: Check out the Irish's New Helmets for Maryland Game
Notre Dame’s “Shamrock Series Games” started last year against Army when they played at Yankee Stadium, and that series will continue this week against Maryland.
The Irish will be wearing the same uniforms from their game against Army, but the helmets will be all new. The Notre Dame football equipment Twitter account first released the helmet and it is the main picture on this article.
The helmet is covered in 24-carat gold leaf and has an oversized green shamrock on each side. It looks as though there is a pattern in the gold, but that could just be the way the light reflects off the gold leaf. What is not pictured is the leprechaun on the back of it.
The jerseys are green with gold lettering and the pants are the same color gold. There is nothing too special about them other than the fact that they are green and gold and have a gold Notre Dame logo on each shoulder.
