The final race of the Breeders' Cup, the Breeders' Cup Classic, will showcase many horses that casual racing fans may know from this year's Triple Crown races. Uncle Mo, the frontrunner, was slated to run in the Kentucky Derby but was scratched, and now has a chance to gain some redemption.

While Uncle Mo is understandably one of the favorites in this race, there is one horse that seems to be under the radar, especially given that the horse won one of the three Triple Crown races this past year.

That horse is Ruler On Ice, who is currently holding about 20-1 odds, and is roughly in the middle of the pack. Since the track is not wet and the weather has held up at Churchill Downs, this does admittedly put the horse at a disadvantage. After all, Ruler On Ice won the Belmont thanks in part to a wet track.

Still, it is surprising that Ruler On Ice has rather high odds, especially when Stay Thirsty, who finished second in the Belmont, is at lower odds and seems closer to being a favorite.

Ruler On Ice's most recent race was the Pennsylvania Derby, where Ruler was able to charge back after a slow start and finish second. To Honor and Serve was the winner of that race, and Ruler will at least be looking to beat that horse today.

A win for Ruler On Ice, however, will likely come down to how the track holds up. It has been wet for much of the week, and if it stays that way tonight, then Ruler has to become one of the favorites.

If the track becomes dry, then it will be that much tougher, since Ruler On Ice has not been a great horse on dry tracks. Still, if the odds remain at 20-1 or over (they were at 30-1 at one point), then it's a great bet to make heading into tonight's race.
