Nothing is predictable when it comes to college football spreads, but I read a couple of interesting things this week.

First, it's possible that more money will be bet in Las Vegas on the LSU vs. Alabama game today than on the BCS national championship game in January.

Also, Vegas is apparently taking a beating on the top 10 teams this year, who, combined, batting something like .900 against the spread.

Well, somebody has to lose today when it comes to the Tigers and the Crimson Tide, who are favored by 4.5 points. It will be interesting to see where the line levels out as game time approaches at 8 p.m. ET—and wouldn't it be funny if it went down to four and Alabama won 20-16? No soup for you!

Anyway, there are other big games on the schedule today too, so we'll try to give you some interesting thoughts and analysis when it comes to wagering a few sheckles on the games.
