Dolphins Look to Subtract From 49ers
The Miami Dolphins are now 8-5 and tied for first in the AFC East (second by tiebreakers). The Dolphins have three games left and probably need to win out to claim the division or even make the playoffs. This process needs to be handled game by game as most of the season has been.
It has been two weeks since the Dolphins defensive unit has given up a touchdown, and they hope to continue their defensive dominance after allowing only a measly three points to the Buffalo Bills in a 16-3 victory.
While the offense, defense and special teams are yet to get it all together the same week they are well on their way to dominance. Hopefully the offense doesn't have to score a lot if the defense continues it's suffocating physicality.
The San Francisco 49ers, contrary to statements made by many people, are not a push-over team. In consecutive weeks they have taken down the Bills in Buffalo and the Jets at home. The 49ers have won three of their last four. The Dolphins need to be very wary of the 49ers' deceptively good offense.
San Francisco offense is a force to be reckoned with, even though they may not have the biggest names or the most noticed players. There is a strong possibility that Frank Gore will not play against the Dolphins. Even so, the running attack can be deadly with an offensive line that seems to have picked up a jolt since Mike Singletary took over as head coach.
Shaun Hill has brought a terrific presence under center. His performances have far surpassed the attempts of his predecessor, J.T. O'Sullivan. The main thing for the Dolphins is to not underestimate the 49ers offense and to get pressure on Hill. But before you can get to Hill, in the immortal words of Joey Porter, "If you can't stop the run, you can't have fun," so stopping the run comes first.
The 49ers defense is by no means a sparkling unit but they are not as bad as one might expect. The Dolphins better bring their top form if they want to put up a good amount of points and win this football game.
One more thing, WEAR THE AQUA! Come on it's December and the fans are getting sick of white, if you don't wear the aqua then at least wear the orange to promote Christmas jersey sales.
In closing, GO PHINS!
