We know who the elite running backs in the NFL are. Guys like Frank Gore, Arian Foster, and Adrian Peterson just aren't going to become available to you, though, so let's not focus too much on them.
Instead, let's focus on guys currently starting in fewer than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. That's an indication that these guys might be free agents, or might become available from another team.
If that does happen, or if these guys are on your bench, put these guys in your starting lineup.
Blount returns to action after missing much of October with an injury. If Earnest Graham were still active, then I would suggest you ease Blount back into action.
But with Graham on injured reserved and the rest of the Buccaneers' play-makers struggling to perform, they simply can't afford to ease him back.
Since they are playing the Saints, I like Blount to come back with a nice game.
I am stunned that he is on this list. But without Daniel Thomas playing effectively due to a hamstring injury, the Dolphins don't have other formidable options.
Normally, the Dolphins aren't good plays. But for this week, I like Bush's matchup.
This commercial will finally make sense:
Battle has been a solid option since being thrust into action. The bottom line is that the Chiefs' other backs are just not getting the job done.
Until they do, Battle is as close to a featured back as the NFL has. He's starting in fewer than half of ESPN leagues, which should just not be the case.
I expect a good day from him against Miami.
