NFL Picks Week 9: Predicting Scores for Every Game

1 of 15

With Week 9 of the NFL season quickly approaching, it's time to put in my picks for this weekend's slate of games.

Who will win the big showdown between the Steelers and Ravens on Sunday night? Will the Packers drop their first game of the season against the Chargers?

Read on to find out about these picks and the rest of my game picks for Week 9 in the NFL.

Jets vs. Bills

2 of 15

Gang Green will be heading to Buffalo this week to face the surprising Bills.

The Bills are undefeated at home, having won all four of their contests there, but this game should prove to be their toughest challenge of the season other than the Patriots in Week 3.

I see Mark Sanchez struggling against the Bills defense and RB Fred Jackson running all over the Jets' run defense in this one.

    Prediction: Bills 24, Jets 13

Seahawks vs. Cowboys

3 of 15

The Seahawks head to Dallas to take on a struggling 3-4 Cowboys teams in a matchup of under-achieving teams in Week 9.

Seattle will once again have problems on offense, as Pete Carrol's team has yet to find an identity on that side of the ball.

QB Tony Romo and rookie RB DeMarco Murray will do just enough for the Dallas offense to win this game.

    Prediction: Dallas 17, Seattle 14

Falcons vs. Colts

4 of 15

The winless Colts will do battle with the surging Falcons this weekend in Indianapolis.

I see Indy putting up a good fight in the first half of this one, but Matt Ryan and Co. will prevail in the second half to drop the Colts to 0-9 for the season.

The end of this season just can't come soon enough for Indianapolis.

    Prediction: Falcons 31, Colts 17

Dolphins vs. Chiefs

5 of 15

The winless Dolphins will face off against the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs at high noon this Sunday.

Miami is much better than their record shows, but poor QB play will once again haunt them against KC.

I do see this game being closer than expected, but the Chiefs just have too many playmakers on offense and are playing too well to let the 0-7 Dolphins halt their recent winning streak.

    Prediction: Chiefs 21, Dolphins 13

Bucs vs. Saints

6 of 15

The Bucs will battle the Saints this weekend with first place in the NFC South on the line in New Orleans.

Tampa Bay has been very inconsistent this season, thanks to a suspect secondary and a struggling Josh Freeman at quarterback.

The Saints are very hard to beat at home, and I see Brees having a huge game as he will light up the Bucs defense all day.

    Prediction: Saints 38, Bucs 13

49ers vs. Redskins

7 of 15

The 49ers have been one of the biggest surprises of the '11 NFL season, evidenced by their 6-1 record out of the gate.

Running back Frank Gore has been a monster in the ground game, and the defense has stepped up as well.

I expect San Fran to continue their roll in Week 9 against a hapless Redskins squad who got shutout against the Bills last week.

    Prediction: 49ers 24, Redskins 7

Browns vs. Texans

8 of 15

Even though the Browns come into their game against Houston this Sunday at 3-4, they have been in just about every game so far this season.

However, they have yet to face an offense like the Texans.

Expect Houston RB Arian Foster to go off against one of the league's worst run defenses in an easy win for his team in this Week 9 contest.

    Prediction: Texans 31, Browns 13

Bengals vs. Titans

9 of 15

The Bengals are hoping to add on to an impressive 5-2 start to the season when they square off against the Tennessee Titans on the road this weekend.

Going into the game, the hype will be all about Bengals' rookies Andy Dalton, A.J. Green and the new-look Cincinnati offense.

However, I see an old NFL star who plays for the Titans having a coming out party in this game, leading his team to a close victory.

    Prediction: Titans 23, Bengals 21

Broncos vs. Raiders

10 of 15

In a pivotal AFC West showdown for both teams, the Oakland Raiders will host the Denver Broncos on the west coast on Sunday.

It will Tim Tebow's third start since officially being named the Broncos' starting QB by coach John Fox earlier this season.

I do expect Darren McFadden and the Raiders defense to send Denver away with an embarrassing loss in Week 9.

    Prediction: Raiders 30, Broncos 10

Giants vs. Patriots

11 of 15

This matchup has already been called the game of the week by some, and it's easy to see why.

The Giants come in with a red-hot Eli Manning at QB, and the Pats have to be upset after their loss at Pittsburgh in Week 8.

I see this game going right down to the wire, but Tom Brady will end up leading his team to victory at home.

    Prediction: Patriots 27, Giants 24

Rams vs. Cardinals

12 of 15

In a battle of 1-6 teams, the St. Louis Rams will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9.

Both teams have had their struggles on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, but the Rams have the momentum from their recent shocker that they pulled off at home against the Saints last week.

I think that the Rams will win again and take themselves out of the NFC West cellar after this weekend.

    Prediction: Rams 27, Cardinals 20

Packers vs. Chargers

13 of 15

The Packers will face one of the biggest road tests that they will have this season on Sunday.

They will be traveling to San Diego to take on a mad Chargers team, after they just lost in overtime to Kansas City on Monday Night Football.

Philip Rivers and the vaunted Chargers passing attack will keep SD in this one, but Aaron Rodgers and his receiving corps will ultimately be too much for the San Diego secondary in this contest.

    Prediction: Packers 34, Chargers 28

Game of the Week: Ravens vs. Steelers

14 of 15

Usually when the Ravens and Steelers get together in the regular season, it's a hard fought matchup from start to finish.

However, with the Ravens recent woes and the Steelers playing well right now, I don't see this game being very close.

Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu will both have big games as Pittsburgh will shine in front of their home crowd on Sunday Night football.

    Prediction: Steelers 24, Ravens 9

Bears vs. Eagles

15 of 15

This should be a very interesting Week 9 matchup on Monday Night football.

Two of the best running backs in all of the NFL will be on display in Chicago's Matt Forte and Philadelphia's LeSean McCoy.

However, I think it will come down to who has the best defense and is playing at home, and the Eagles have the advantage in both of these areas.

    Prediction: Eagles 20, Bears 14
