What is a superfan?

A superfan is any person that finds themselves painting their chest in the home team's colors, making road trips to opponents' stadiums a part of their yearly schedule or just a fan that makes it crystal clear who they want to win.

The following women have shown their passion for sports through various mediums, mostly with the power of photography. They have proven that they love their team and will stand by their side at all costs.

40. Go Trojans!

We don't really know who this sexy USC fan is, but she is definitely one of our favorites. The Trojans may be a bit of a disappointment this year, but this fan will always be a  superstar.

39. Kendra

How can one person show off their inner super fan?

Kendra has posed for pictures in San Diego Charger jerseys, wrote a book using sports as a metaphor for life and even married a former professional NFL player, Hank Baskett.

Not too many superfans can say they did that. 

38. Team England Soccer

In Europe, the sport of soccer, or football as it is known to our friends overseas, takes on a life of its own. The fans take the term superfan to a whole new level.

Take, for instance, these four women. In America, these outfits would only be allowed acceptable on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras, but in England, they are just dressed for another soccer match. 

And do not let the looks fool you; these women love the sport.

37. Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd is the first of her kind. She was a superfan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball long before beautiful women made sports sexy again. 

She has been following her alma mater since she graduated many years ago and still finds herself arguing with the opposing fans during basketball games. She has one of the most pure forms of passion for her team.

35. Saints and Colts Fans

It seems like only a few weeks ago that the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl 44 to win their first ever NFL Championship.

Here we are, two years later, and the Saints have recently defeated the winless Colts, 62-7. The fans, however, have stayed around.

The two women pictured above have taken body painting to a whole new level. In fact, it is superfans like them that make traveling to the Super Bowl a great time.

34. Texas Rangers Almost Won

There are only a select few teams that have a following as big as the Texas Rangers. The fans are all over the United States in every state except Missouri.

The superfans of Texas, including the beautiful hat backwards blonde here, will have a long winter following the World Series loss. 

No worries; they will all be back in 2012.

A former 2007 Playboy playmate is also a Superfan?

Shannon James, born and raised in Philadelphia, is a huge supporter of the Phillies. She loves them so much she has been considered the Phillies' biggest fan.

It never hurts that she is the hottest female in Philadelphia these days, either.

32. Victoria Beckham

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is married to England's favorite person, David Beckham. The two of them former a mega-hot alliance that could only be found in the movies.

Her love and passion for the sport of soccer is only as deep as her marriage lasts, but she is a trooper, showing up for many, if not all, of her man's matches. 

31. Texas Rangers Are the Second Best Team in MLB, Again!

It has been 20 years since MLB has seen a team make it to the World Series in back-to-back seasons and lose both times. In 1991-1992, the Atlanta Braves found themselves in the same situation, losing both seasons.

Prior to that, the 1963 and 1964 New York Yankees had the same experience. Needless to say, it is something rare in professional baseball. 

The best part about being a Texas fan is that the beautiful women are aplenty. You can not turn a corner in Dallas without bumping into a super hot superfan.

30. Chicago Fans in Misery

I have done many articles and have seen thousands of photos of beautiful fans, women and models. I can easily say that when a beautiful woman, pictured here, has a custom fitted Cubs top, she is not your ordinary fan.

It takes a certain type of person to wear the gear as this one does. A certain type of hot superfan.

Alyssa Milano is a hardcore MLB enthusiast. She is one of the most famous superfans in America. She has been seen at several different sporting events over the past 20 years, but she is mainly a LA Dodger fan.

She evens writes a baseball blog on MLB.com. She makes the average superfan feel like they need to step up their game.

28. Heather O.

Heather O. is a model that found herself using her camera phone to become the next big thing in Dallas. Not only is she a huge Dallas Mavericks fan, she supports all her Dallas teams, including the Texas Rangers.

If it is from Texas and is a sport, chances are, Heather loves it.

27. Crazy Fans in St Louis

If you thought Chicago Bears fans were bad, you have never been to St. Louis. The Cardinals fans are the nicest group of people you will ever meet in a baseball stadium.

The tend to be really nice when they win a World Series, too.

As for the superfans, there are so many to include, I just thought it might be easier to show them off using this beautiful woman as an example.

26. Jenn Sterger

Jenn Sterger is one of the most hated females in the US, and I have no idea why.

We all love it when a hot chick is spotted at a sporting event, so why are so many people hating on her? All she did was dress sexy and cheer for her team, even if she has not quite settled on a team yet.

She gets credit for being a fan, regardless of the teams she supports.

25. Tiffany Oertel

Boise State is not a school known for beautiful women. It is not even a school known for scheduling good football teams. Sure, they beat an SEC school, but Georgia is hardly a powerhouse. 

Tiffany Oertel is a major supporter of the Broncos, as evident in the photo posted here. She loves her team and stands behind them always. 

What a lucky team.

24. Twins Fans Times Two

If not for injuries to most of the major players on the Minnesota Twins roster, the 2011 season could have been much better. For the first time in two seasons, the Twins failed to make the MLB playoffs and finished dead last in the American League Central.

The fans continued to show up at Target Field, however, with an average of around 35,000 fans in September, long after they were out of playoff contention. 

The fans, as a whole, should be considered superfans for showing that level of love for their team.

23. Jimena Sanchez

She is a huge Oakland Raiders fan, so when she is not working the sidelines or hitting the studio, she is catching the games on television.

She might want to catch them soon before the Raiders find another way to squander a season.

The women love Texas!

Amber Leigh Hartman, Texas Rangerd season ticket holder and bonafide sex kitten, sits behind homeplate wearing the least amount of clothing allowed by law to every home Rangers game.

She recently dumped her boyfriend, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jarred Cosart via Twitter. He had no clue until he checked his mentions and saw the dear john tweet. Nice!

Maria Menounos has done it all. She has been a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and Today. She has also acted in several films and guest starred on television shows.

But none of those accomplishments are important to her if she can not watch her Boston Celtics. She loves them so much you can easily spot her courtside at almost every home game during the regular season. She is not afraid to show off her support for the Celtics.

When you look at this photo, what do you see? Do you see a beautiful law student from the University of Oklahoma law school?

That's right. Ashley Ferrara is a huge supporter of Oklahoma football and is not doing so just for the fame; she is as legit as they come in Oklahoma.

If being a Boston Red Sox fan was a job, there would be plenty of females employed around the United States. I am not sure why so many women love the Red Sox, but they are everywhere.

This woman, for example, gives us all another reason to rethink our favorite team choices. If it gets us one inch closer to a woman like this, I might be rooting for the wrong team, too.

In Venezuela, Diosa Canales is known around the country as a singer and model.

But I remember her for the recent stunt she pulled during the Copa America tournament in 2011, where she stated she would repeat what Larissa Riquelme promised the fans: to get naked if her country won the tourney.

Venezuela did not win, but she got naked nonetheless.

16. Beautiful Blondes in Texas

It is starting to become a trending topic in this article, but beautiful women in Texas are everywhere. 

It is easier to run into a beautiful superfan in Dallas than to see the sun shining. Maybe it is just a fad, but this one is not the only one in Texas that shows up in droves during the baseball season.

15. Everything Is Bigger in Texas

Now the women are flowing over into college football too?

It is one thing to have beautiful female fans in professional sports, but now we are starting to see the same in collegiate sports. This gorgeous Texas Longhorn fan might be a little far away from the campus, but she still rocks the superfan gear.

14. Sexy Yankee Fans

The New York Yankees have done it again. They have spent more money on a baseball team than small countries spend on defense, and yet they got to watch the World Series from home, yet again.

This does not stop the women from cheering them on every week. This beautiful blonde shows off her love for the Yankees by wearing a cap and almost nothing else.

13. Jessica Alba

Is it even fair to include a beautiful woman like Jessica Alba in a list like this? Does anyone else stand a chance?

Alba, Oakland Raiders superfan, loves her hometown football team. She has shown her support for the Raiders her whole life and has been seen at several games over the years.

12. Larissa Riquelme

If Paraguay would have won the 2010 FIFA World Cup, this would be the safest photo of Larissa Riquelme you would have seen, anywhere. She made a bet that if her country won the World Cup, she would run around the streets of Paraguay nude.

Showing that kind of love for her country can only mean one thing: She is as super a fan as they get.

11. Dorismar

In Argentina, Dorismar is a well known model and actress. She can not walk the streets of Argentina without being stopped for an autograph. 

She became famous in the rest of the world during the 2010 FIFA World Cup when a cameraman spotted her during a match and spent about three minutes focused on her using a skycam. She worked the camera and found herself becoming an overnight superfan success.

10. Angels Across America

For a brief moment in 2004, the entire world stopped spinning as the beautiful Victoria's Secret Angels attempted to watch a Miami Heat game courtside.

Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tyra Bank  and Gisele Bundchen turned a sport into a spectacle. There has never been, nor will they ever will be again, a grouping of beautiful women in attendance of one basketball game.

The combination of all five of these ladies combined forms a superfan that will never be repeated.

9. St. Louis Cardinals: 2011 World Series Champions

The St. Louis Cardinals won the 2011 World Series by never giving up. With a month left in the season, many people were already penciling in the Atlanta Braves as the next team to head to the World Series, but a monster month of September brought the Cardinals to the front of the pack, and eventually, a World Series title.

The superfans, as I mentioned earlier, are so aplenty I had to show you one more.

8. Reby Sky

The New York Giants play in the NFL. They also have a faithful fan following larger than the land size in Texas. In the middle of all those fans stands Reby Sky, the Giants almost biggest superfan. You will understand what I mean by almost in a minute.

This model turned Giants Superfan has her own website dedicated to her love for the team, thus making her a bigger superfan than half the list.

7. Marisa Miller

Why would anyone consider Marisa Miller a superfan? Does she even follow sports?

Well, she is a huge San Francisco 49ers fan and was named the NFL's biggest superfan by the NFL a few years ago. She was the spokesperson for the league. She has also worked for Sports Illustrated covering different sporting events, including the Super Bowl.

Is that enough credibility? 

6. Front Row Amy

The name says it all. Front Row Amy is a season ticket holder with the Milwaukee Brewers with seats right behind home plate. 

The 43-year-old MILF has been considered a lucky charm for the Brewers and was the reason they made it to the playoffs this season. Lucky or not, I would love a charm of that magnitude, please. Thanks.

5. Patty Orue

Before we even had a chance to pronounce Larissa Riquelme's name, out popped Patty Orue, a fellow country woman from Paraguay that appeared during the Copa America and stole Riquelme's thunder.

She is a model of some sort, probably of the miniature clothing kind. She even has a video floating around the web of her rooting on her country during a soccer match. She is the hotter version of Larissa. 

4. Jess Snyder

And you thought Reby Sky was the only super sexy New York Giants superfan. 

Jess Snyder shows up and literally has taken over as the hottest female Giants fan. Sorry, Reby. Jess is a model living in Clearwater, Fla., but continues to love her Giants. She shows no signs of selling out for the Tampa Bay Bucs anytime soon.

3. Jessica Burciaga

There are many superfans out there, but only a few that can claim to be hotter than melted ice in Antarctica.

Jessica Burciaga loves USC football and Anaheim Angels baseball. She shows off her love for both in her many different photos around the web. She has even been featured in Playboy.

2. Melissa Teixeira

Through no fault of my own, I fell across this wonderfully talented New England Patriots fan, Melissa Teixeira. 

She is better known by her epithet, Hemi Girl. She loves everything New England, including Drew Bledsoe, her favorite player of all time.

So what does she do in her spare time? She plays for the New England Euphoria of the Lingerie Football League. Not too shabby for a beautiful model.
