Arkansas put on a second-half show and was able to rally for the victory against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Down early, the Razorbacks rallied behind quarterback Tyler Wilson and scored 11 unanswered points to win the game. Here are the winners and losers from the Razorbacks versus Commodores football game this past Saturday.
Tyler Wilson found a way to win on Saturday against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Being down for most of the game, Wilson dropped back and continued to orchestrate a comeback. Wilson ended up throwing for over 300 yards and one touchdown in this game. Wilson is starting to come into his own, and is becoming a solid quarterback for the Razorbacks.
Jarius Wright had a monster day against the Commodores defense. He was Wilson's number one target the entire game. Wright had 10 catches for 135 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown pass from Wilson. The Wilson-Wright connection proved to be too strong for the Commodores defense, and Wright was a major factor in the Razorbacks' win.
For most of the game, the Vanderbilt defense was a winner. They were holding the Arkansas offense to under one touchdown per quarter, until the Arkansas offense clicked in the fourth quarter. The Commodores defense gave up 11 points in the fourth quarter, which proved to be enough to win the game. It was a tough loss, but it will only make this defense a better one for the rest of the season.
