UFC 137 Results: Reaction, Analysis, Post-Fight Video from Last Night's Event

UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Nevada was an amazing night of fights that will definitely have fight fans talking.

Headlining the event were former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz and former UFC lightweight champion and former UFC welterweight champion BJ Penn.

These two tough welterweights battled it out for three full rounds in what turned out to be a Fight of the Night performance. Diaz took the unanimous decision win and effectively retired the legendary Penn.

Now, not only will Diaz remain in the promotion, but he will now take on the current UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre on Feb. 4.

Also on the card was a pair of exciting heavyweight matchups, as Pride legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic took on The Ultimate Fighter heavyweights winner Roy Nelson and UFC veteran Cheick Kongo faced Ultimate Fighter alum Matt MItrione.

In a shocking turn of events, both Kongo and Nelson came out victorious.

Nelson finished the the Croatian legend less than two minutes into the third round, defeating Cro Cop via technical knockout. In what many people thought was going to be a Knockout of the Night candidate, Kongo actually took the unanimous decision over Mitrione, going the full three rounds.

Rounding out the main card, Japanese import Hatsu Hioki came out the winner in his UFC debut against fellow featherweight George Roop, taking the split decision. WEC import Scott Jorgensen also took the win in Jeff Curran’s return to the UFC, taking the unanimous decision in the bantamweight division.

Here is all the post-fight reactions, results, and analysis from last night’s exciting events.
