The modern football game is about offenses, but games are truly won or lost on the defensive side of the football.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a notoriously good defense and this helps them find their offense.

Here are three defenses that will win the game for their team in Week 8.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have the strongest secondary in the league and they will be able to contain the Patriots and their passing game.

Tom Brady is a special player but he has not been himself this season.

He has thrown uncharacteristic interceptions and will need to have a great game and not have any giveaways because any slip-ups will end up with the Steelers going the other way for a score.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have not been the stifling team they normally are. Teams have been able to score on the Ravens but the defense will have no problem stopping the Cardinals and Kevin Kolb.

Kevin Kolb and the Cardinals have not had the offense that people felt they would. Kolb was a highly touted player as a backup and everyone spoke of his potential. However, there has been time to show it and he has not been getting the results anyone would have wanted.

The Ravens are going to find another win and their defense will not let the Cardinals move the ball.

Houston Texans

The Houston Texans have had a very good season so far and this is something that is going to continue. Their defense is very tough on the pass and they are coming up against rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Gabbert has shown signs of potential but he is not a polished product yet as a starter in the NFL.

The Houston Texans are going to use their strong secondary to make Gabbert feel off balance and this will not allow him to find any kind of rhythm.
