College Football Predictions: Oklahoma State Can't Afford Slip Up Against Robert Griffin III and Baylor
Game: Baylor at Oklahoma State
Time: 3:30 ET
Line: Oklahoma State -14.5
Oklahoma State is sitting pretty at 7-0 and No.3 in the BCS Standings, but now they have a bullseye on their back and it’s yet to be seen if Mike Gundy and the Cowboys can handle the pressure.
They get a big test on Saturday when the electrifying Robert Griffin II and the Baylor Bears come to town.
The Cowboys are in the best position of any team in the nation for the fact that they control their own destiny, but it won’t be easy the rest of the way; including having to find a way to slow down Griffin III.
If you are a fan of high powered offenses and plenty of scoring, this could be the game for you.
The over/under is set at 81.5, so Vegas expects plenty of points as well.
The Cowboys rank second in the nation in passing (387 ypg) and scoring (48.6 ppg) and third in total offense (549 ypg). They will be facing a Baylor attack that also ranks near the top.
Griffin III is the Bowl Subdivision’s most efficient passer and he and the Bears rank slightly ahead of Oklahoma State in total offense (550 ypg) and sits sixth in scoring (44.3 ppg) and seventh in passing (341 ypg).
Both defenses will have their work cut out for them, but quite possibly whichever defense can make just one or two big plays in this one will see their team come out on top.
Prediction: Can Griffin III pull off some more magic? He will keep it close before the Cowboys eventually pull away in the end. Take the Bears and the points though. Oklahoma State 38 Baylor 34.
