Matt D'Agostini: Young Player With a Big Heart

Daniel ArouchianSenior Analyst IDecember 10, 2008

Matt D'Agostini was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in a sixth round choice, 190th overall in 2005. His first official NHL game was on November 28, 2008 against the Buffalo Sabres. He played 18 shifts for a total of 13:52 minutes.

For the next four games he received one goal per game, and averaged between 16 to 19 shifts per game. Furthermore, in those four games he spent close to 60 minutes on the ice, and ended up scoring the winning goal against the Calgary Flames on December 9,2008.

Should D'Agostini stay with the Habs for the remainder of the season?

I think yes, as sending him back to Hamilton would probably be a bad idea.
