Injuries can absolutely kill NFL teams and ruin what could have possibly been a good season.

Right now there are a few teams more than battling with the injury bug.

It takes a rare, and exceptionally deep, team to be able to overcome injuries and do something with their season, so if your team is hurting and you're taking hope the 2010 Green Bay Packers, you might not want to get those hopes up.

Even just one week with a couple stars on the bench can be trouble.

Moving into Week 8 of the 2011 NFL season here are a few teams that are really going to struggle to win because of injury:

Detroit Lions

The Lions have dealt with injuries all season long. Whether is their top rookie picks getting hurt, or their oft-injured star quarterback being banged up; every week there seems to be a different issue. This week, ironically enough, Matthew Stafford is hurt, yet again.

His ankle has been bugging him ever since his last snap against Atlanta where he was tackled with his leg underneath him in an awkward position. I think this team is going to have a hard time going into the thin Denver air and playing the Broncos, especially in their condition.

Washington Redskins

This team has lost their starting tight end and running back in Chris Cooley and Tim Hightower respectively. Not only that, but starting wideout Santana Moss has broke his hand and will be out for a few weeks. This is a tough bill of health for the 'Skins, who must face the hot Buffalo Bills on the road.

St. Louis Rams

The Rams injury problems have been well documented so far. You saw what the Saints did to a Peyton Manning-less Colts last week, now it's time to see what they can do against a potentially Sam Bradford-less Rams.
