Bruschi Done For Year? Career Over?

Matt's Pats BlogAnalyst IDecember 9, 2008

One of the cornerstones of the Patriots defense was hurt last Sunday after taking a blow from teammate Mike Richardson in their game against the Seahawks. After the game, the Pats stayed out on the west coast, but sent LB Tedy Bruschi home to have tests taken on his knee.

Although league sources are claiming it was not a serious knee injury, it should keep him sidelined at least four weeks, and the IR-happy Patriots are likely to place him on the Injured Reserve list.

It is also widely assumed this could be Bruschi's last year with the club, as he has clearly lost a step and some ability. If this is the case, we may have just witnessed Tedy's last game in a Patriots uniform last weekend.

But we certainly hope not.
