Currently there are eight undefeated teams in the BCS Rankings. Of course it won't stay this way by the time the season is over with. This number will go down by a lot, but by how much?

Automatically either LSU or Alabama will receive their first loss next weekend because they play each other. The Crimson Tide still have to play Auburn, while the Tigers will still have to play Auburn. Both could possibly lose, but we have to think that the winner of the big game will run the table.

Oklahoma State has too difficult of a schedule to keep things up as they still play Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech and Oklahoma. They will lose at least one game in that brutal Big-12 schedule.

Boise State of course will go undefeated with the schedule they have. San Diego State will give them a problem but this team is too experienced to get upset like last season.

Clemson still has a couple tough games against Georgia Tech and South Carolina. You have to figure that the Tigers will be the favorites in both games and if they play the way they're capable of, they'll win.

You can wipe Kansas State off the board right now with a schedule that includes Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas. This team hasn't proved much to deserve their ranking and they will get brought back to reality in the next month.

Houston should run the table as they are much like Boise State with a weak schedule. It's hard to see teams like  Rice and UAB beat a Cougars team that averages 50 points per contest.

Then of course you have Stanford who is extremely talented but does have tough games left with USC, Oregon, California and Notre Dame. I could see the Cardinal running the table but could also see them slipping up once or twice.

So, there are eight undefeated teams out there right now but by the time the season is over, there will be only four. Maybe five.

This should make for some good controversy when it's all said and done.
