College Football Predictions Week 8: LSU and Alabama Double Digit Favorites Both Locks to Cover
Fans of professional wrestling will get this analogy, as LSU and Alabama are like the two wrestlers, the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, before they clashed at WrestleMania VI.
Both wrestlers were huge favorites among their long legions of fans, like Alabama and LSU.
Both wrestlers were insanely over and would dominate any opponent that would come their way, like Alabama and LSU.
And both wrestlers finally came to meet inside of a wrestling ring in their epic match at WrestleMania VI inside of the Sky Dome in Toronto, like Alabama and LSU will finally get a chance to meet on November 5th in Alabama.
However, fans of the Ultimate Warrior and Hogan, just like fans of Alabama and LSU have to watch their team dismantle another team this week.
LSU (-21) vs. Auburn
LSU is down two of their starters this week against the defending BCS champions. But, this is LSU team is coached by Les Miles, who seems to thrive when his team is under some form of controversy.
When his team lost their starting quarterback this year to a school suspension after a bar fight, Les responded by blowing out the BCS runner-up the Oregon Ducks.
This week, the Tigers are a 21 point favorite and will still be able to cover even without their two starters.
Alabama (-30) vs. Tennessee
Alabama comes into this game after blowing out the Ole Miss Rebels last week. This week they play a Tennessee team that is banged up in the quarterback position and is well over matched on both sides of the ball.
The only way Alabama does not cover this point spread, is if they allow a late touchdown to the Vols, while not wanting to run the score up.
However, a victory of 38-3 does not look out of the question this week.
We just have to wait another two weeks until LSU and Alabama. Hopefully in two weeks both teams are still undefeated.
