Does anything really need to be said about why a list like this is necessary?

Who doesn't want to look at pictures of hot women? I think that's all the answer you need.

This list will feature the hottest women in the world of MMA today. Everyone, from fighters to ring girls to journalists, will be represented.

If you're still reading this, I commend you, but now, you can click on, and read the greatest slideshow in Bleacher Report history.

As if you're going to read any of this to begin with.

Enjoy!

No. 21: Kyra Gracie

Kyragracie_display_image

What a way to kick off the list.

Kyra Gracie is, as you may have guessed, a member of the legendary Gracie family, and a three time ADCC grappling champion.

She is currently training for her MMA debut, which is likely to take place sometime in 2012.

No. 20: Miesha Tate

Mieshatate1_display_image

Miesha Tate is a fighter in Strikeforce, and is the current bantamweight champion.

Tate has a professional record of 12-2, with notable wins over Zoila Gurgel and Marloes Coenen.

Tate is definitely one of the hottest female fighters around today.

No. 19: Natasha Wicks

Natashawicks1_display_image

Natsha Wicks is a former ring girl for the UFC.

Wicks was released from her UFC contract in December of 2009.

To be totally honest, I'm not sure what she's doing now, but I don't think anyone will complain about having her on the list.

No. 18: Megan Olivi

Meganolivi1_original_display_image

This is a list of the hottest women in MMA, and as an MMA journalist, Megan Olivi definitely qualifies.

Megan is a journalist for Heavy.com, and she has gotten plenty of interviews with some of the top fighters in the sport.

One notable interview was with Sean McCorkle, where he asked her if she would like to be Ms. Big Sexy.

It's definitely worth looking up.

No. 17: Amii Grove

Amiigrove1_display_image

Amii Grove is a ring girl for BAMMA.

I think I'm just going to say "wow" and leave it at that.

No. 16: Rhian Sugden

Rhiansugden1_display_image

Rhian Sugden is another gorgeous ring girl on this list.

To be completely honest, I wrote the list awhile ago, and now, am unable to find what organization Ms. Sugden is with.

You're probably not even reading this...

No. 15: Corissa Furr

Corissafurr1_display_image

Corissa Furr is a ring girl for Strikeforce, and she won the honor of that in a contest online.

She has been with Strikeforce since Feijao vs. Henderson, which is just fantastic.

Another Strikeforce ring girl will be featured a bit further on in the list...

No. 14: Stephanie Ann Cook

Stephanieanncook1_display_image

Stephanie Ann Cook is a ring girl for the "Tuff-N-Uff" organization, which you probably haven't even heard of.

I guess you could say that Stephanie is a bit of a hidden gem.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to say, "damn!"

No. 13: Rachelle Leah

Rachelleleah1_display_image

Rachelle Leah is a former UFC ring girl and a fan favorite.

Rachelle was last seen at UFC 111, but since then, she has not taken the walk around the cage.

She is currently hosting "MMAathletics" which is based in Las Vegas, so she is still very much involved with MMA.

No. 12: Georgia Graham

Georgiagraham1_display_image

Georgia Graham is a ring girl for BAMMA and she makes me want to watch BAMMA more often.

Georgia has been featured in numerous publications, and before she started her modeling career, she worked on a farming estate.

Just curiosity, does anyone know when the next BAMMA event is? I'll have to mark it on my calendar...

No. 11: Jade Bryce

Jadebryce2_display_image

Jade Bryce is a ring girl for Bellator, and is one of the hottest ring girls around today.

Jade, along with Mercedes—we'll get to her soon—make one of the best ring girl combinations in MMA today.

If this was a tag team event, Jade and Mercedes would give the UFC ladies a run for their money.

No. 10: Jennifer Swift

Jenniferswift1_display_image

And now we have Miss TapouT, better known as Jennifer Swift.

Swift is a model for TapouT and a writer for TapouT magazine.

In addition to being involved with TapouT, Swift has also been featured on Playboy TV and Playboy radio.

Now we can just cross our fingers that she does Playboy.

No. 9: Kelli Hutcherson

Kellihutcherson1_original_display_image

Kelli Hutcherson is a ring girl for Strikeforce, and is one of the biggest reasons that I am not looking forward to the inevitable collapse of Strikeforce.

Her first event for Strikeforce just happened to be headlined by a guy named Fedor Emelianenko facing off against another guy named Fabricio Werdum. Maybe you heard about the fight.

Here's looking forward to seeing more of Kelli at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masdival on December 17.

No. 8: Kenda Perez

Kendaperez1_display_image

Coming up next is Kenda Perez, the host of The Ultimate Show here on Bleacher Report.

In addition to The Ultimate Show, Kenda is also the host for Best of Pride on Spike TV.

Best of Pride returns for Season 2 on February 9th, and it cannot come soon enough.

In the meantime, you can check out B/R's The Ultimate Show here.

No. 7: Michelle Waterson

Michellewaterson1_display_image

No. 7 on this list is "The Karate Hottie" Michelle Waterson.

Waterson is a professional fighter, with a record of 8-3, and seven finishes to her name.

In addition to her professional career, she was also featured on the MTV show, Bully Beatdown, the only episode which featured a female bully.

No. 6: Gina Carano

Ginacarano3_display_image

Gina Carano may not have seen the inside of the cage for awhile, but that doesn't mean she's not one of the hottest women in MMA today.

Carano is a fighter for Strikeforce in the 145-pound division, and is 7-1 in her professional career.

She started off 7-0 before losing via TKO to Cris Santos more than two years ago.

Let's hope we can see her back in the cage soon.

No. 5: Mercedes Terrell

Mercedesterrell1_original_display_image

Mercedes Terrell is a ring girl for Bellator, as you may have guessed from the picture.

Then again, if you didn't see the logo, I wouldn't exactly be surprised.

Back in August, our very own Matt Juul sat down with both Bellator ring girls, Mercedes and Jade, and talked to them about sweet submissions.

You can check it out here.

Or you can look at this picture a little more. It's a win either way.

No. 4: Iryna Ivanova

Irynaivanova1_display_image

Iryna Ivanova is a name you have likely never heard before, but its a safe bet you'll remember it now.

Ms. Ivanova is a ring girl for the World Fighting Federation based in Arizona.

If you Google her, you can find better pictures than this one.

No. 3: Kathleen Tesori

Kathleentesori1_display_image

Kathleen Tesori is a name you likely haven't heard before, as she is not a ring girl for any major MMA organization.

She is the ring girl for MTV's show, Bully Beatdown, featuring Jason "Mayhem" Miller.

The status of Bully Beatdown is currently in limbo, but here's hoping it gets picked up again soon so we can see some more of Ms. Tesori.

No. 2: Arianny Celeste

Ariannyceleste30_display_image

Arianny Celeste is a ring girl for the UFC, and has been a mainstay with the organization since 2006.

In November of 2010, Arianny posed for Playboy magazine, and as you can imagine, I can't put those pictures here.

For a long time, Arianny was considered the consensus No. 1 hottest ring girl in the business.

However, when the WEC folded into the UFC, along with its fighters, the UFC also got...

No. 1: Brittney Palmer

Brittneypalmer35_display_image

Was there ever any doubt who I'd put at No. 1?

Brittney Palmer is a ring girl for the UFC, formerly for the WEC, although she is currently taking a leave of absence to attend art school in California.

She did recently announce that she'll be back for a future event, so we can all look forward to that.

In the meantime, we can all look at this.
