According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Lions have acquired Ronnie Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles for running back Jerome Harrison and a 2013 seventh-round draft pick.

After speculation that Jahvid Best may be out a couple of weeks after suffering another concussion this past weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew wasted no time in making a move.

Ronnie Brown has on appeared in six games this year for the Eagles, running the ball 13 times for 38 yards. The 29-year-old should help fix some of the running back problems for Detroit. He adds speed and pass-catching ability for Matthew Stafford and the Lions' offense.
