In the Las Vegas winter meetings I expect everyone to be busy. Scott Boras will be topping them all, being as he is many of the top of the line player's agent.
The list has the "Fantastic Four" which are Francisco Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Mark Teixeira and CC Sabathia. Each one of those four are being pursued by the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The next "class" consists of Pat Burrel, Adam Dunn, Ben Sheets, Raul Ibanez, Milton Bradley, Kerry Wood, Rafael Furcal, Jon Garland, Andy Pettite, AJ Burnett, Dereck Lowe, Bobby Abreu, Orlando Hudson, and Brian Fuentes.
That class will be very active during these meetings as well. If not more active being as some teams aren't going to sign any $20 Million contracts.
Here's my predictions for the "Fantastic Four:"
Francisco Rodriguez- New York Mets, If the Mets make an offer K-Rod an offer I think he will accept. The Yankees don't need him and the Tigers aren't going to spend that money unless Ordonez gets traded.
Mark Teixeira- Baltimore Orioles, He only wants to return to the east coast if it's Baltimore. A return to his home town would be nice for the Oriole fans. If they were to sign Teixeira and Burnett they would be in contention as would the rest of the AL East.
CC Sabathia- New York Yankees, The Sabathia sweepstakes widen every week. As for now I would say the front runner is the Yankees but the Angels are still in the running.
Manny Ramirez- New York Yankees, With Manny's new hate against Boston, New York would be a great fit if he wants to now be an opposing team rival to Kevin Youkilis. A possible reunion with Johnny Damon, and maybe even Dereck Lowe helps the Yankees case.
We aren't even at winter meetings yet and baseball is heating up, My oh my.
