Packing for Vegas: College Basketball Picks for Dec. 6

Andrew KahnCorrespondent IDecember 6, 2008

I didn't strongly like Texas the other day, but at the last minute I decided to bet them. That was a mistake, as lousy officiating in the final minutes cost me the cover. At least it didn't cost the Longhorns the game.

Anyway, I'm back on the horse today with a two-unit play on Notre Dame (-4) vs. Ohio State. With or without Luke Harangody, the Irish should roll. Their outside shooting will be too much for the Buckeyes, who will improve as the season goes but just aren't ready to compete with a top-10 team at this point.

Update, 12:35: I also like Rhode Island, which is now getting 4.5 points at Providence. The line moved from 3.5, and now I like it a lot.

Today's picks: Notre Dame -4; 2 units

                      Rhode Island +4.5; 1 unit

Season Record: 14-7 (67%); +12.3 units
