The Atlanta Falcons are a great team but they are not living up to their potential this season. They are one of a handful of teams that could be potentially upset this weekend.

The NFL is a league about hard fought battles and even the weakest teams come out this week, hit hard and give it their all.

Here are three teams that must be on upset alert this week.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons were one of the toughest teams in the NFL last season. They are pretty far off of being a scary team to their opponents this season.

The Carolina Panthers have been in almost every game they have played in and they have a star in the making with their rookie quarterback Cam Newton.

The Falcons defense has been spotty at times looking good and then others like one of the worst in the league.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a very different team this season. They only have one loss and they have been playing some of the best and most surprising football in the league.

The Bills are coming up against the unpredictable New York Giants.

The Giants can show up and be the best defense in the league or they might not have it together like last week against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Giants will bring it together and follow Osi Umenyiora’s lead this Sunday.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are always perennial contenders. They seem to be strong every season and they are again for this one.

The Dallas Cowboys have been a very shaky team this season and are as unpredictable as the Giants.

If the Cowboys can reign in their gunslinger quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo has a tendency to try to be a hero late in games and this is when mistakes have been taking over his game.

If Romo plays within himself and conservatively then the Cowboys have a good shot at victory.
