San Francisco 49ers vs. Detroit Lions Live Game Blog
The Detroit Lion host the San Francisco 49ers today in a matchup of true NFC contenders.
Both of these teams are surprises, and both of these teams are for real.
This game will be a big test for the 49ers to see if they can overcome a season-ending injury to emerging WR Josh Morgan.
More than that, this is a test for both teams to prove that they are worthy of their division-leading titles.

After an 18 yard catch by Ted Ginn, David Akers nails a 55 yard kick to put the 49ers up 12-10 going into halftime.

The Lions offense is sputtering, looking a little off base.

49ers are looking for even up the turnover battle on this drive.
They're playing a nice contain defense against the Lions no huddle offense.
Three and out and here comes the punt teams onto the field.
