San Francisco 49ers vs. Detroit Lions Live Game Blog

The Detroit Lion host the San Francisco 49ers today in a matchup of true NFC contenders.
Both of these teams are surprises, and both of these teams are for real.
This game will be a big test for the 49ers to see if they can overcome a season-ending injury to emerging WR Josh Morgan.
More than that, this is a test for both teams to prove that they are worthy of their division-leading titles.

Followed by a brutish run by Kendall Hunter who pushed a pile forward with Anthony Davis for 4 yards on first down.
Detroit called a time out in order to get the play reviewed.
It's not going to work though.
Even though the QB got rid of the ball before he was in the grass, there was still an obvious intentional grounding in the end zone which would also result in a safety.

49ers having problems with getting a snap off again.
5 yard false start penalty followed by a timeout to spare another five yards for delaying the game.

49ers are looking for even up the turnover battle on this drive.
They're playing a nice contain defense against the Lions no huddle offense.
Three and out and here comes the punt teams onto the field.
