The Atlanta Falcons took care of business against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Matt Ryan and Michael Turner were too much for a broken down Panthers defense. Turner was especially hard to handle as he finished with 139 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.

Cam Newton has been having a very good season, but he struggled in the second half against the Falcons. He threw a costly pick late in the fourth quarter that allowed Atlanta to drive down and seal the game.

The Panthers will host the Washington Redskins next weekend and the Falcons will hit the road to take on the Detroit Lions.

Final score: Falcons 31, Panthers 17
