Chad Dawson has power and strength, and it would be surprising if he did not knock Bernard Hopkins down a few times in Saturday's bout in Los Angeles.

Dawson is a top challenger to Hopkins, who defeated Jean Pascal back in May in the process earning The Ring magazine and WBC light heavyweight belts. For that victory, Hopkins became the oldest boxing champion ever at age 46.

Dawson is the favorite in the eyes of some, and his young passion and energy is the reason why. The talented southpaw is a scrappy fighter who has the quickness to trouble Hopkins and the power to knock him down.

How many more fights can Hopkins go through at age 46 and step up when he needs to most? Well, on Saturday he will meet a hungry young opponent eager to defeat a boxing legend.

Dawson's mobility will also cause problems for Hopkins, who isn't as agile as he was. Dawson will use his speed advantage to win this fight, and will ultimately win by knockout.

Hopkins, who has an impressive career record of 52-5-2 with the 32 knockouts, will not add to his win total Saturday.

Hopefully the fight does not end controversially, as that is the last thing the sport needs.

However, with the type of talent these two fighters have, it is likely that this bout will be decided by a move of strength, and not something like a cheap shot.
