Week 6 Waiver Wire: Kellen Winslow and 4 TEs You Must Grab

1 of 5

Tight ends are an essential part of all fantasy football teams. Unfortunately, good ones are sometimes hard to come by.

In Week 5, several tight ends had monster games. A few will have monster games again in Week 6.

Here are four solid tight end pickups that are most likely on the waiver wires.

Visanthe Shiancoe

2 of 5

With everything that the Minnesota Vikings have gone through this season, Visanthe Shiancoe has been one of the most consistent players.

Because Donovan McNabb has been having severe accuracy issues, Shiancoe has become a reliable target over the middle. He will continue to be as McNabb tries to find his accuracy.

With the Vikings starting to play better, look for improved production out of Shiancoe.

He averages 10.4 yards per catch.

Benjamin Watson

3 of 5

In Week 6, the Cleveland Browns are playing the Oakland Raiders, who have the 29th ranked passing defense in the league.

Benjamin Watson's production has been increasing each week and is becoming Colt McCoy's favorite receivers.

Look for Watson's numbers to increase as the season progresses. He will be a good asset as McCoy furthers his development.

Watson has 173 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Kellen Winslow

4 of 5

After Tampa was thoroughly routed by San Francisco in Week 6, Tampa will be looking for blood this week.

With LeGarrette Blount out for four to six weeks, Tampa will be relying more on the pass than usual. Not to mention, after Josh Freeman's poor performance, look for him to be a little more conservative in his pass selection.

Winslow is one of Tampa's top offensive weapons, so look for big production in the coming weeks.

Winslow has 22 receptions for 217 yards.

Jake Ballard

5 of 5

Eli Manning may have found a new favorite target in Jake Ballard during Week 5. He had three receptions for 72 yards last week.

Jake Ballard is a huge target standing at 6'6''. Look for continued performance out of Ballard as he continues to mesh well with quarterback Eli Manning.

Jake Ballard has an average of 19.2 yards per catch this season with two touchdowns.
