Start & Sit, Week 6: Another T-Shirt Giveaway, Involving Tony Romo and Tom Brady

Start & Sit, fantasy football, start, sit, advice

Tried to give away a t-shirt courtesy of Fantasy Loudmouth a few weeks ago, but the person who won never claimed it. His loss is your gain.

Going to try this again. Guess how many passing yards Tony Romo and Tom Brady will combine to throw for in Sunday’s matchup. Drop your guess in the comments below, on the Facebook page or @TheHazean on Twitter.

Closest to the total — over or under — wins the t-shirt. And make sure to pay attention after the game when I come looking for you!

Injuries of Note

LeGarrette Blount is very doubtful to play this Sunday against the Saints. Reports say that he has an MCL tear, which could sideline him several weeks. Earnest Graham will earn the start and be a nice play in flex and PPR leagues … Same with Joseph Addai, who injured his hamstring last weekend. Delone Carter and Donald Brown will split the workload in Indy … Andre Johnson began running again on Wednesday and looked decent according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Still probably a week or two away from threatening to play again … BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been missing from Patriots practice. Trying not to look into this too much because the Patriots are known to manipulate the injury report … Antonio Gates had predicted he would return after the Chargers bye week but backed off that statement a litle bit this week … Miles Austin and Dez Bryant returned to full practices this week and appear ready to go … Brandon Jacobs looks unlikely to play again this week … Daniel Thomas is back at practice for Miami and should suit up for Monday Night Football … Julio Jones likely will miss his first action of the season because of a bum hamstring.

Start ‘Em

Earnest Graham v. Saints
Blount has an MCL tear in his knee, so this job is Graham’s for the near future.

Andy Dalton v. Colts
The other rookie quarterback. Playing well, gets a nice matchup this weekend (Matt Cassel threw 4 TDs last weekend against the Colts).

David Nelson v. Giants
The David Nelson bandwagon is getting lighter by the day. This game should rejuvenate his stock a little bit.

Sit ‘Em

Anquan Boldin v. Texans
When it comes to cornerbacks fantasy owners need to know, the  Texans have one: Jonathan Joseph.

Brandon Marshall v. Jets
The Jets have the best one: Darrelle Revis.

Jahvid Best v. 49ers
San Fran’s run defense has been stout, and Best is not well-known for his consistency. Had a great Monday night, I expect a regression.

Fantasy Mailbag

Great questions from our readers this week. If you want your fantasy questions answered, make sure to follow The Hazean on Facebook or check us out on Twitter.

Jake Bauer Dynasty league question: Would you trade Hillis/Hardesty/Greene for Ray Rice? After the trade, my RBs would be Peterson, McCoy, Rice, Moreno, Torain.

OMG yes. In a heartbeat. Do this trade immediately.

Christy Keele What do you suggest people do with Ryan Torain this week? I can either spin the Shanahan Wheel of RBs or play somebody like Felix Jones or Rashard Mendenhall.

I do like Felix Jones this week against New England. I have avoided the Washington RB situation in all leagues at all costs. It’s a crapshoot, but you already know that. See what happens with Felix, he’ll be active as both a rusher and receiver.

Moses Ross Cam Newton for Chris Johnson and another player? Is that a fair trade?

I think so, especially if you can get another player. I do not know the rest of your roster, but I figure if you have Cam Newton you either (A) picked him up off the waiver wire after week one or (B) drafted him really, really late. Which means you probably already have a good quarterback. So you are looking to upgrade at running back, and I think Johnson is a great buy low target still.

@macnesa23 cinny or baltimore defence this week? #nfl #fantasyfootball

Actually a tough call. I like to stream defenses, so I am used to looking for bargains. The Bengals are a great streaming defense this week against the Colts. But it is hard to go against the Ravens, especially at home and against the Texans who are without Andre Johnson. Still, I like to play matchups. Bengals have a better one.
