Alex to Leave Chelsea in January?

Rumour has it Panathinaikos are considering putting in a bid for Chelsea defender, Alex, in January.

 

Former Avram Grant sidekick and part-time wrestling coach Henk Ten Cate, who took over the Greek side when he left Chelsea, knows Alex well. Rumours suggest Panathinaikos have contacted Chelsea with a view to getting the ball rolling before the transfer window opens.  

 

Mind you, yet again, the reports seem to be clutching at straws when they look for reasons to back a possible transfer up because this time, the reason Alex could be persuaded to leave Stamford Bridge ‘allegedly’ is the fact that he’s started just four league games for us this season.

 

The fact that he hasn’t been able to play a lot more than that because he’s been out injured seems to have passed this particular ‘source’ by though.

 

So that’s Ivanovic to Lazio and Alex to Panathinaikos already, and Ricardo Carvalho still out injured. Hmmmm, something doesn’t quite ring true there somehow.
