After the Cavaliers beat the New York Knicks by 18 points last week at Madison Square Garden, you would think things wouldn't be as easy the second time around.
Believe it or not, tonight's game was even more effortless as the Cavs trampled the Knicks, 118-82. Cleveland built a 28-point lead in the second quarter and were up 61-35 at half. They never let up and led by as many as 42 points.
The Cavaliers once again came up big on the defensive end. They held the Knicks to just 38 percent shooting and also forced the Knicks to commit 26 turnovers.
As much as the team stresses tough defense, they still continue to put up big numbers on the offensive end as well. Tonight they rallied for 118 points and had five players in double figures with LeBron leading all scorers with 21 points in just 28 minutes. He also added six assists and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.
Mo Williams added 16 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
With this win, the Cavs improved to 15-3 overall and 10-0 at home, which is their best start in franchise history. This is their sixth straight win and is their 14th win in the past 15 games. They remain the only team in the Eastern Conference to hold a perfect record on their home floor.
They will get to defend their home floor again on Friday night when the Indiana Pacers (7-11) come to town.
