Petr Prucha, who is often a healthy scratch, has opted to stay with the Rangers

instead of shifting gears and playing in Hartford—where he would be guaranteed ice time,

which he needs badly.

So, is this a good thing or a bad thing for a kid who seemed very

promising not too long ago?

Think of it this way—Prucha is clearly saying that he wants a chance to play for

this team. But at the same time, Tom Renney has stressed that in order for Prucha to be

ready to play with the big boys, he would need to get back on the ice, something he

would more than likely do with the Wolfpack and not the Rangers.
