Pacers-Lakers: Indiana Defeats Los Angeles at the Buzzer

Apparently, Indiana holds the secret to defeating the upper-echelon teams in the NBA.

Although they are currently in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers have managed to knock off both the Lakers and the Celtics this season.

One might wonder how such a thing is possible. The secret to their winning?

Playing harder.

It's as simple as that. When Indiana played Boston in their home opener, Danny Granger lost his two front teeth while diving for a loose ball. The crazy thing is that his team was already up 16 points early in the fourth quarter. Now who in their right mind would dive for a loose ball after having a comfortable lead?

Someone who wants it more than the other person.

The Pacers handed Boston their first loss of the season, and people thought this would be the turning point of the franchise.  They were sadly mistaken. For the rest of November, the Pacers went 5-9. Before beating the Lakers, their record was 6-10, so not many people could've predicted them snapping the Lakers' eight-game winning streak.

I just hope that they don't snap LA's win streak the next time around.
