Chael Sonnen Will Leave the UFC If He Loses to Anderson Silva

Jason SchielkeCorrespondent IOctober 8, 2011

At UFC 136 from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX, Chael Sonnen dominated Brian Stann for nearly two rounds before securing the fight-ending head-and-arm choke.

The fight was one of the most one-sided clinics put on in recent memory, but it had nothing on what Chael Sonnen had to say in his post-fight interview.

After having his hand raised in victory, per usual, Joe Rogan came into the Octagon to interview the victor.

In typical controversial fashion, the first thing Sonnen had to say was "Anderson Silva, you absolutely suck!"

But if that was not good enough, Sonnen put out the ultimate bet to Silva.

Sonnen went on to call out the current middleweight kingpin to a fight on Super Bowl weekend. Sonnen went on and made the challenge of all challenge to the champion.

Sonnen proclaimed that if he was able to defeat Silva, Silva would have to leave the middleweight division.

However, if Silva could defeat Sonnen for the second time, Sonnen said he would leave the sport forever.

“Super Bowl weekend, the biggest rematch in the business. I’m calling you out, but we’re upping the stakes," Sonnen stated. "If I beat you, you leave the division. You beat me, I will leave the UFC forever.”

It may have been a little WWE-ish, but if both fighters agree to those terms, the hype and anticipation for this "loser leaves town" matchup will truly be an unprecedented event.

Will Sonnen's terms be put in their fight contract? We will eventually find out.
