College Football Rankings: Arkansas Deserves to Be Ranked over Oregon

After watching Oregon’s star running back LaMichael James go down with a gruesome looking injury in a blowout victory over Cal last Thursday night, some are starting to wonder if this Oregon team is worthy of a Top 10 ranking if James remains on the sideline for a considerable amount of time.
The Ducks will certainly have a chance to prove their worth without James when they host No. 18 Arizona State this weekend, but right now, you legitimately have to wonder why Oregon is the highest-ranked one loss team in the country.
Sure, the offense has racked up a ton of points and yards per game so far, but who exactly have the Ducks done it against?
Nevada?
Missouri State?
Arizona?
Cal?
6-16, that’s the combined record of the four teams Oregon has toppled this season.
Needless to say, none of those four teams is even close to a Top 25 caliber squad.
Yet somehow, pollsters have felt the need to rank Oregon ahead of Arkansas, a team that just got finished disposing of two Top 20 opponents, Texas A&M and Auburn, and one that’s only loss of the season was to one of the top two teams in the country, Alabama, on the road.
Can someone explain that logic to me?
