With Signing Day now officially over, college football season will soon be upon us.
James Laurinaitis (now a senior) avoided the chaos of the day, having re-signed earlier this year with the Ohio State.
Looking at his play this year, it’s safe to say Laurinaitis will be a factor in the 2008 season. He created many plays for last year’s Buckeyes. Perhaps he’ll bring OSU to a championship yet again.
I think the virtual reformation of the team will benefit next season’s squad. Almost all players will return in the upcoming year, and they will bring knowledge and experience and possibly great success.
They will also have consummate leadership in linebacker Laurinaitis.
New faces joining the Ohio State Buckeyes—from different schools all around the state—include J.B Shugarts and Orhian Johnson. Another player from Georgia will bring lots of talent.
All of the recruits signed, I believe the Buckeyes have a bright and exciting future.
Coach Jim Tressel wanted to acquire some additions to bolster both offensive and defensive positions with spirit and skill. Most will bring that, and much, much more.
Still, the recruitment goes on. As of now, Ohio State is still searching for a quarterback.
I think with these new players, the Ohio State Buckeyes will bring a force to be reckoned with. Combining the veterans’ knowledge and experience with the recruits’ energy and unique skills, this team will be ready for action in 2008.
