Before I get to the heart of this article, let me put one thing very clearly—I do not support Manchester United.

I hate to praise their players, I try to find faults in their manager's approach, I even go as far as praying that something goes wrong at the club sometime soon.

I could possibly console myself by just thinking the grass always looks much greener on the other side, but the sad part about it is the grass really is greener at Old Trafford.

Plus, Manchester United get the huge advantage of having such a massive stadium, something that hurts even more since I support Arsenal, who have had to sacrifice so much for the sole cause of having a new, bigger stadium.

There was a time when the 'Anti-Glazer' protests were going on and it made me believe that the club could collapse. But they didn't. They just became stronger, more united.

Another thing that gets me so annoyed is the fact that everyone who seems to stumble upon football in my country, almost as a rule, supports Manchester United.

Their fanbase is unparalleled. And it always will be.

It's not as if they are perfect, either. Because it's easy to accept perfection and not let it bother you. What really winds me up is they seem as human as any other team in the league. They commit the odd mistake but somehow always manage to get away with it.

In Sir Alex Ferguson, they possess a manager who never seems to grow old. With the likes of Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs, Luis Nani and Ashley Young, they boast of players who have this undying hunger for success.

Plus, they have a fully committed back room staff. They even managed to get clearance from the Singapore stock exchange, so they are covered financially too!

Ishitaa, I don't know if I managed to write something good about Manchester United, but you sure did get the hatred right back up there again!
