(From Yankees 'N More)

The Arizona Diamondbacks declined to offer arbitration to slugger Adam Dunn, meaning any team can sign him without losing draft picks.

It has been reported that the New York Yankees intend to add an ''impact hitter'' to their lineup when the finish stocking up on pitchers.

There is no question Dunn, who has hit at least 40 home runs in each of the last five seasons, qualifies as an impact hitter.

There is also no question he will come at a much cheaper price than somebody like Mark Teixeira, and he might even be cheaper than Manny Ramirez.

Just guessing here, but Adam Dunn could be a guy the Yankees have on their radar. There have been reports of the Yankees being interested in Dunn as recently as the trading deadline last season.
