San Antonio Spurs Find Depth in Injuries

Will MossContributor INovember 8, 2016

I am not saying I want Tim Duncan going down anytime soon so we can see more Anthony Tolliver, but some good might have come out of the injuries to Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

Soon after Ginobili was placed on the injury list, Parker went down with a sprained ankle. Many people ruled out a 1-4 Spurs team coming off an 83-99 loss to the Miami Heat, but sometimes you have to look for the silver lining, and the Spurs found theirs.

With two of San Antonio's top three scorers out for at least a month, George Hill and Rodger Mason, Jr. proved the Spurs would be fine. Mason is averaging 15 points in their absence and Hill is not far behind with 14 points, including three straight 20-plus-point games.
