Celtic legend and former Barcelona star Henrik Larsson has reportedly considered a return to the Premier League. Published reports have broached that Everton are seeking his assistance during an injury-plagued season.

The Sweden international is currently a free agent following the closure of his deal with Helsingborgs, and is taking into account a move abroad in order to remain fit during the close season in his homeland.

Larsson favoured a similar short-term transfer in early 2007 when he joined Manchester United and played a key role in winning the Premier League title.

With Everton missing the likes of Ayegbeni Yakubu, James Vaughan, and Louis Saha due to injury, he could be invited to Goodisan Park for a small stint.

''I am a free agent and have not yet decided what to do next,'' he told the Daily Star.

''I like Helsingborgs, but I want to see a change of attitude and in the way the club is run before I sign again.

''I have not completely closed my mind to the idea of going abroad again, so we will see what happens.''

A reappearance by Larsson in the EPL would please many fans undoubtedly, especially if it was for more than just a few months.
