A John Morrison Rant About Triple H: Work or Shoot?
Doing one of my usual rounds on Twitter I found this long rant from John Morrison, and the length of time struck me as odd. Morrison does use Twitter fairly frequently, but not to this extent, and he had some choice words about Triple H.
The following transcript were tweets over the course of about an hour (posted most recent at the top):
HHH’s ego is hungry. He’s got a steak dinner every Monday night- but if he thinks his ego’s gonna snack elsewhere; I’m gonna eat his lunch!
…the past is always afraid of the future…
…there's a roster full of superstars that want chaos, that want the ball, that want to be on the road at every WWE event...
…maybe walking out will get HHH to realize he can’t do this alone, the WWE Universe wants to see different people in the mix…
who am I kidding, HHH is a narcissist. He doesn't think I'm at his level- His main concern is positioning himself as the center of attention
I like chaos! If they all leave & I stay, maybe HHH & I could do 5 backstage segments, an in ring promo, and an hour match next week!
C’mon A-RY, Garlic dill… you know, haha!… wait a minute… “no confidence” … we’re voting now? Everyone’s walking out!
…no offense but, I think the best actor in Inside Out was a pickle. (A-RY was too nervous to laugh at that comment)…
Is this rant a work or a shoot?
…I think HHH may have over reached with this whole C.O.O. thing; he does do that from time to time- The Chaperone; Inside Out…
...I wonder if HHH has an individual health insurance plan, or gets group coverage because he’s classified as an employee…
…getting an individual health insurance policy after neck surgery is not easy…
…maybe forming a union is a good idea… all other entertainment and sporting entities have them…
…If the WWE universe is paying our checks maybe the pay scale among us independent contractors should be a bit more evenly distributed…
...HHH says we work for the WWE universe. Hmmm, yup, I agree with that… I wonder if he’s going to mention my birthday… nope.
Now, I am a huge Morrison fan, but I can't help but wonder if these comments are part of the Triple H vote-of-confidence angle, or if JoMo is actually unhappy and wants to leave.
With the recent release of Melina (who is his real-life on-again, off-again girlfriend), and his mention of being "independent contractors" as opposed to "employees" coming off his neck surgery, this rant concerns me a little.
Do you vote in confidence for Triple H as C.O.O.?
Morrison has a history of a bad backstage attitude and always seems to hang on by a thread, the most recent example of which being the Wrestlemania fiasco with Trish Stratus (which is actually how I found Bleacher Report). Shortly thereafter he was in a WWE championship match at Extreme Rules due to an R-Truth heel turn.
Melina in and of herself caused a lot of problems for Morrison, being that it was rumored she caused the now infamous snub of the Diva Legend, and her having a tryst with Batista while she was currently dating Morrison.
It's hard for me to make a call on this. My head says that Morrison actually feels undervalued and that he belongs in the main event scene. He's upset about Melina's "future endeavored" status and he's sick of not getting the recognition he rightly deserves.
On the other hand, WWE has been using social media to promote stories quite a bit recently (such as the "CM Punk skips town with the title" angle), but I just don't have enough faith that creative won't drop the ball with this one as well.
So, at first glance, I'm gonna call this a shoot. What do you guys think?
Until next time, I'm Merlot Williams, and that's my opinion.
