Boston Bruins 2011-12: Bruins Receive Diamond Filled Championship Rings
The Boston Bruins organization received their championship rings for winning the 2011 Stanley Cup on Tuesday night at a team dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
The rings were made by Jostens.
The Bruins' ring includes over 300 diamonds with a the spoked "B" logo resting on top of the Stanley Cup on the front of the ring.
Over 500 rings were given to Bruins employees, including players, coaches, and management. Every player who won the Cup with the Bruins last season that is still with the club was in attendance, and several of those who are not with the team anymore including, Mark Recchi, Michael Ryder, and Shane Hnidy also were at the event.
Boston Bruins forward and alternate captain Patrice Bergeron was excited to receive his ring.
It's something very special and to have something like that," center Patrice Bergeron said. "First of all, it's a dream come true to win a Stanley Cup. But to actually have a ring, it's amazing."
