Needless to say, it has been a season to forget thus far for Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.

After an incidental collision with his offensive lineman and consequent concussion in the game against the Atlanta Falcons, Vick was hurt again on a pass rush against the New York Giants a week later.

This time it was in the form of a hand injury, which was initially thought to be a broken hand but was later found to be a contusion.

While that news was very good for Eagles fans, the root of the problem remains: Michael Vick cannot stay healthy.

There are a number of reasons that can be attributed to, most notably a weak offensive line. If the Eagles can't keep their star quarterback healthy, the "dream team" will be living a nightmare.

The biggest thing going for Vick this week is the fact that he'll be facing the San Francisco 49ers, whose defense has no proven pass rushers and has mustered seven sacks on the season compared to opponents' 11.

However, I think it's very likely Vick gets hurt again at some point this year. It's fairly safe to label him injury prone and combining that with Philly's offensive line does not bode well for his health.

So if Vick is your starting fantasy quarterback right now, make sure you have a reliable backup, because you'll likely need him this year.

And if you're a Philadelphia fan, pray Vick can stay healthy for the remainder of the season.
