Illinois Football Video: Illini Cheap Shot on Northwestern Lineman

Sports are always unpredictable. They keep fans on their toes, waiting to see what is going to happen next.

While watching the Illinois versus Northwestern match up today some people may have seen the penalty for unnecessary conduct.

If you have not take a second now to watch it above. Did you cringe?

While watching that video, you will see the cheap shot knee to the precious family jewels of a Northwestern lineman.

Yes, it was a cold, callous attack on the mans groin.

This is something that should not be in sports. Arguments or occasional shoves are fine.

Actually, arguments and shoves are usually more than fine— they are a bit exciting.

Cheap shots to a man’s privates, though, is a whole different story. It is an unwarranted response to a situation.

Never should a man during a sports contest resort to a groin shot.

Although they are funny and were the reason America’s Funniest Home Videos has lasted so long on television, they have no reason to be in a football game.

That Illinois lineman should have to stand there and have multiple teammates knee him in the groin as punishment and see how he likes it.

But in all seriousness, he should really look at himself and think about how unjustifiable that move is.
