Fantasy Football Rankings: Wes Welker and the Top 5 WR Plays
Wide receiver Wes Welker has been putting up video game numbers for the New England Patriots, and with a matchup upcoming against an Oakland Raiders defense that ranks near the bottom of the NFL against the pass Welker sits atop the list of top wideout plays for Week 4.
1.) Wes Welker, New England Patriots (at OAK): Welker is averaging a mind-boggling 152.7 receiving yards and over 10 receptions a game with four touchdowns, and the king of the slot receivers should feast on a soft Oakland secondary.
2.) Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions (at DAL): Johnson leads the National Football League in touchdown receptions with half a dozen, has been nearly unstoppable in the redzone, and "Megatron" should present a very stiff challenge for a nicked up Dallas secondary.
3.) Andre Johnson, Houston Texans (vs. PIT): With 21 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns through three games Johnson is off to yet another great start and is a must start even against the Steelers, who possess the stingiest pass defense in the NFL.
4.) Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals (vs. NYG): Fantasy football's 12th ranked wide receiver should have a solid shot at putting up his best stat line of the season against the New York Giants, who have allowed the ninth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
5.) Denarious Moore, Oakland Raiders (vs. NE): Fantasy owners in need of a sneaky play at wide receiver should take a look at Moore, as the Raiders will forced to the air in an effort to keep up with the high flying Patriots, who in turn have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in 2011.
