Rookie Report: Cam Newton Still Leads the Pack After Three Weeks
There are rookies contributing all over the league, so the top five was hard to choose this week. Everyone is putting up good numbers and deserves a spot on this list, but five have risen to the top in week three.
Cam Newton, QB, Panthers- Newton came down to earth a bit in week three, but that likely had to do with the torrential down pour the Panthers had to play in. Newton should bounce back with a good performance in week 4.
Daniel Thomas, RB, Dolphins- Thomas scored his first touchdown as a pro and continues to impress Dolphin faithful. He nearly had another 100 yard output in week 3 coming up only five yards short. Thomas needs to be great with Reggie Bush struggling.
A.J. Green, WR, Bengals- He didn’t score for the first time in week three, but he is the most explosive offensive weapon the Bengals possess. Green will continue to be Dalton’s top target.
Julio Jones, WR, Falcons- Jones broke the century mark against the Bucs, but he is still searching for his first score. He leads rookies in yards receiving and showed he wants to stay on the top rookie list.
Mark Ingram, RB, Saints- 129 yards rushing and 1 TD
Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals- 570 yards passing and 3 TDs
Dane Sanzenbacher, WR, Bears- 66 yards receiving and 2 TDs
Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks- 110 yards receiving and 1 TD
